Edible Pedal combines two big ideas: sustainable eating and bicycling. Edible Pedal delivers to-go food from restaurants by bicycle while actively promoting the importance of locally grown sustainable food. A large portion of their deliveries are made to local businesses and government offices, thereby increasing awareness to a wider swath of the Sacramento population about sustainable eating. Edible Pedal actively promotes their business and its sustainable values through word-of-mouth, flyers and social media. When the restaurants they bike for promote seasonal fare, Edible Pedal follows suit in their promotion through flyers and Facebook. They also deliver farm-to-table produce such as CSA boxes. Their shop features locally made bicycle products and repurposed wool clothing. They offer group bike rides to local organic farms.
