Track 7 uses locally produced products in their beer, including locally grown pears and Sacramento wildflower honey. The brewing process results in leftover grain, or spent grain as it’s called. Instead of dumping it we give our grain to local farmers who then feed it to their pigs and cows. They encourage customers to use glass growlers, which are refillable glass containers, instead of buying one-time use bottles of beer. One of their signature events is the Friends on the Farm Dinner, which takes place during Farm to Fork Week. The dinner takes place on a hop farm in Hood. At the dinner they serve the meat from the farmers who used the spent grain as livestock feed.
